5great shoes for a little one learning to walkFeb 20, 2010
By Silea
My son is in the cruising stage, using anything (or anyone) to pull himself up to stand, and holding himself up with his hands while he walks. Unfortunately, our hardwood floors and his socks (even the ones with little treads on them) were a slippery combination. These shoes solved that problem immediately.

It takes a little jiggering to get them on (my best method so far is: 1) open the shoe and shove it on as far as it'll go, 2) pull the tongue of the shoe toward the toddler's ankle, 3) use the tab on the back of the shoe to pull it over the toddler's heel, at which point the foot should be in all the way, 4) smooth down the tongue, and seal the velcro), but they stay on. My son had never found a sock, shoe, boot, or other foot covering he couldn't remove in under 10 seconds until he met these.

The soles are very thin rubber, so the wearer can still feel the ground and have full range of motion, which is very important when learning to walk. They probably won't hold up through extensive wear and tear, but by the time your kid is a fluent walker and running, you should probably be using different shoes anyway.

5Kudos to RobeezJan 01, 2010
By Amy Hui
These are great. My son has wide feet and scrunches his toes up. It's easy to get his feet in these and they stay on. Plus, kudos to Robeez for their new line of Mine Shoez. I love the design.

5Nice, Flexible Shoe for Wobblers/ToddlersMay 26, 2009
By Mommy Kind "creepycrawly"
My pediatrician informed me that I should still purchase shoes with the flexible, bendy type of sole, and these shoes have a nice pliable sole. I like that they have rubber bottoms because they wipe clean easily. My son stepped in seagull poo at the pier, and I just wiped the bottoms clean. They're also more durable than the leather soles on the original Robeez shoe. I'm going to buy another pair with the same sole again.

4Too tight and snug around the anklesJan 18, 2010
By Sunny
I purchased these Robeez because it had better traction than Bobux. Plus the pastel pink looked absolutely adorable in the picture and in person. I got plenty of compliments with these shoes.

However it was a pain to get them on her feet in the morning. It's very tight around her ankles. That's one of the complaints I've read around the web for Robeez ... that it's just too snug around the ankles and some parents even complained it turned their toddler's ankles purple. Based on the reviews for this particular pair of Robeez on Amazon, I had hoped it wouldn't be this snug but I was wrong. It is VERY snug. That's where I took off one star.

My daughter doesn't have chunky feet or ankles. In fact, my daughter is 13 month old but wears shoes sized for a 9 month old but she's as tall as an 18 month old. Go figure? I can't even imagine how uncomfortable it must be for a baby who has chunky feet to wear these.

I have purchased a pair of Robeez boots and loved it. But boots are different than sneakers.

If you're considered about the snug fit around the ankles, I recommend umi Infant Pearl Pre-Walker. I purchased the Umi a week after the Robeez and wished I found them earlier. It's a little cheaper too than Robeez AND it's very spacious around the ankles AND it doesn't fall off!!

4Cute, but hard to get on feet.Sep 10, 2011
By happily ever after
The opening for these shoes was very small, and they did not fit my baby. I imagine once they are on, they will stay on. Very cute looking shoe and great quality!! I'll order these in a bigger size for sure.
