Fun for hours!Jan 18, 2007
By A. VanSelus My son (9 months) received this fire truck as a Christmas present. It was easy to assemble and came with extra parts, for future repairs if need be. Since he is learning to walk he enjoys pushing it, holding on to the ladders. It is heavy and sturdy enough that he can't tip it over. Which I can't say for most of the "walker" push toys out there.

good, but not great qualityJun 12, 2010
By K. Martin The fire truck was very easy to put together, and moves and turns well, my 1 year old and my 5 year old love it. If you are looking for an heirloom toy, then don't buy this truck, the fenders, grill, steering wheel etc are all cheap plastic and look like they will break down in no time. However if you are looking for a fun relatively inexpensive toy, that probably won't last for generations or rough play , then this is the toy for you.

Very Cute!Jun 03, 2009
By J. Bridges I got this fire truck for my son when he was 18 months old and he thought it was great! It is alittle difficult to put together so you'll want to make sure you have time to put it all together. It is also very heavy. Which is good that it won't tip over, but being very heavy also makes its hard for my son to turn when he is sitting on it. It is very cute and shiny and the little bell on the front works. Now that my son is 2 he still can't manage to turn it very well and gets frustrated with it even though he will still sit on it and play with it. Overall though, I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Very cute with attention to detailJul 18, 2010

This was quite easy to assemble, taking about half an hour to complete and also includes some spare parts if needed later. It's a very cute firetruck with many nice little details to delight a child. It seems to be well made, though have not seen it road tested yet. We gave it as a baby shower gift and the new parents will use it as a room decoration until the baby is old enough to play with it.
Adorable, but not as shownDec 09, 2011
By lmorasax Although I have not yet put this together, I know my son is going to fall in love with it. However, I felt it was important for others to know that, as another reviewer mentioned, the car you will get is not as shown. It does not come with the handles at the back, but rather the ladders just rest on a plastic piece on either side. They could be taken off, which could be good or bad: good if it is fun for your child as part of play; bad in that they could get lost by your child after taken off.
The previous reviewer thought the firetruck he received was the old design, and that the picture shown is the new design. I think, however, that it is actually the other way around. I checked other websites, and both Sears and Pottery Barn (who sell the same car for more!) show the picture as I received it. I know it is a new item at Pottery Barn, so I think Amazon just has not updated their picture. (If Amazon is reading this: Please change the picture. It is very misleading!)
I almost returned it, but then realized that this was just something that bothered me, and that my son is not going to know or care whether or not it used to have handles. It is definitely a very cute toy, and on a positive note, lighter than I would have expected for having a metal body. I was worried it may be too heavy for my son to maneuver, but I think it should be okay. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because of the outdated picture.
